Volunteer Opportunities in Central Arizona

  • SSOSSpecial Olympics
Arizona dentists and allied volunteers conduct oral screenings and oral hygiene instruction while earning free CE and warm hugs at Special Smiles every year. The summer Special Olympics program is held the first weekend of May at ASU. Volunteer recruitment begins in February.

  • Donated Dental Services
Donated Dental Services (DDS), a program of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH), is a collaborative, direct way for dental professionals to reach out to our nation's most vulnerable people; disabled, elderly or medically-compromised individuals who have no financial means for obtaining dental care. Volunteer dentists and labs provide comprehensive services free of charge to help patients achieve a maintainable level of oral health. DDS manages financial screening and referral so the dental professional can focus on treatment. Visit www.nfdh.org or call (480) 850-1474 / (866) 340-4337 for more information or a volunteer application.
